Natalie Nalesnyik is a film editor based in Melbourne with numerous credits spanning documentary, narrative film, music video, corporate and cultural videos. Most notably, her short film THIN AIR, which she also wrote and directed, was chosen Coup De Coeur of the Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival 2012, won the SBS2 Award at St Kilda Festival 2012 and the ATOM award for best Tertiary Short Fiction 2013, and has screened at numerous film festivals in Australia and abroad.
Natalie has worked on a diverse range of projects as an editor, her client list including Museum Victoria, The Australian Conservation Foundation, Scienceworks, Malthouse Theatre and Gertrude Contemporary Arts, as well as music videos for prominent artists such as Fortunes and Louie Knuxx.
Most recently, she has co-edited the feature documentary NOW SOUND, directed by Tobias Willis, which premiered at Melbourne International Film Festival 2018. She is also currently co-editing a feature documentary ‘No Time For Quiet’, directed by Samantha Dinning for Film Camp Productions.
Natalie works as a Director, Producer and Editor at the production company Daybreak Films, alongside her freelance projects.
