Megan Hender is both a resident of, and a business owner in, the City of Adelaide.

Megan has lived and worked in the city for over 25 years and raised her family within the city square mile. A lawyer by training, she has worked as a solicitor, a university lecturer, a law practice manager and, since 2002, has been running her own city based management consulting business.

Megan was first elected to Council in 2010.  During her first term she sat on the Reconciliation Committee and the Committee for Emergency Risk Management.  She also served as Chair of the City Culture and Community Services Committee, as the Council representative on the Adelaide Central Market Authority and was elected by her peers as an Adelaide City Council representative on the State Government Capital City Committee.
