Speaking @ It Will Be Chaos
Andrew Keast is Storyteller for Refugee Talent, a social enterprise platform designed to unlock refugee and migrant talent and provide a human-centred approach to matching refugees and migrants with employers offering work opportunities that reflect the extraordinary expertise, qualifications and experience of refugees. Having now worked with over 500 employers across Australia and with over 14,000 candidates on its platform Refugee and Migrant Talent at its core seeks to influence change associated with the narratives of refugees and employment with a powerful technology solution, deep desire to connect, and a broad social intent to expand community understanding, awareness and engagement around the positive contributions refugees can and do make to our community.
Previously Andrew worked with Bhumi Organic Cotton, an Australian start up retail business committed to addressing the toxic environmental and health effects of non-organic cotton and also ran his own Business and Human Resource consulting practice with a Victorian Government contract supporting the growth of SME’s across Victoria. He’s also worked in a variety of senior management roles including Sales Director and Chief Operations Officer within Human Resources and Technology sectors with substantial interactions with large national organisations and government departments across Australia at all levels.
With a deep interest in the human condition and having travelled extensively, studied philosophy, psychology and music and worked across a wide range of other sectors including Hospitality, Retail and Health both in Australia and internationally what really inspires Andrew more than ever now is following his passion to live a conscious, intentional, organic, cooperative, collaborative life and sees social enterprise and his work with Refugee Talent and other great social enterprise’s as one way in which he may be able to contribute to the wider community and humanity as a whole.
