Ice and the Sky follows the story of Antarctic explorer and scientist Claude Lorius, whose research into ice core drilling has played a pivotal role in establishing the scientific basis of global warming. In this visually stunning and meditative film, Lorius, now in his 80’s, returns to the frozen continent with Luc Jacquet (the Oscar winning Director of March of the Penguins) to deliver a warning to humanity.
