H.O.P.E – What You Eat Matters is a moving documentary that uncovers the startling effects of Western eating habits. It contrasts the conflicting interests that pharmaceutical and agricultural industries have with the interests of our planet’s inhabitants, and explores the power of responsible consumer action.
Austrian author and filmmaker Nina Messinger travels through Europe, India, and the US to discover the consequences of our chosen diets, meeting with experts in nutrition, medicine, science, farming and agriculture. She also talks to people who have recovered from illness thanks to a simple change in what they eat.
The film is an urgent call to action, serving up a simple solution right in front of our plates: by changing our eating habits, we can improve our health and rebalance the planet.
“This important film highlights the choices we must make to help protect the planet and all its inhabitants” (Paul Mc Cartney).
